Your Data, Your Control

BreatheToo is designed with privacy at its core. All your data stays on your device and in your personal iCloud account. Here are the choices you have regarding your data.

What You Can Control

Account

Choice	How	What happens
Use as Guest	Tap "Continue as Guest" on sign-in screen	No Apple ID is collected. All data stays local.
Sign in with Apple	Tap "Sign in with Apple"	We receive only your Apple ID identifier. Name and email are optional.
Sign out	Profile tab > Sign Out	Clears your local session. Your data remains in iCloud until you delete it.

Health Data

Choice	How	What happens
Enable Apple Health	Profile tab > Connect Apple Health	BreatheToo writes mindful minutes and cold exposure sessions to Apple Health.
Manage Apple Health access	Health app > Sharing > Apps > BreatheToo	Turn writing off or on at any time. Existing Health data is not deleted (managed by Apple Health).

Session Data

Choice	How	What happens
Delete a session	History tab > swipe left on a session	Session is removed from your device and iCloud.
Delete all data	Uninstall the app	All local data is removed.
Delete iCloud data	Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Storage > BreatheToo	Removes all synced data from iCloud.

Profile

Choice	How	What happens
Add/remove profile photo	Profile tab > tap photo	Photo is stored locally and synced via iCloud. Removing it deletes it everywhere.

Notifications

Choice	How	What happens
Daily reminder	Profile tab > Daily Reminder toggle	Enables/disables local notifications. No data is sent to any server.

What We Don't Collect

No location data
No device identifiers or fingerprinting
No browsing history
No advertising data
No third-party analytics or tracking
No data shared with or sold to anyone

Data Processing

All data processing happens on your device. We do not operate external servers. The only network communication is:

iCloud sync: Your private data syncs between your Apple devices via Apple's CloudKit infrastructure.
Instructor sessions: Session templates from instructors are fetched from a public CloudKit database (read-only, no personal data involved).

Your Rights Under GDPR / CCPA

If you are in the European Union or California, you have the right to:

Access your personal data (all data is visible in the app)
Delete your personal data (see instructions above)
Port your data (Apple Health export, session history visible in app)
Object to processing (disable any feature via the toggles above)

Since all data is stored in your personal iCloud account and we have no access to it, exercising these rights is done directly through your device settings.
